It was a little chilly but winds were light and no parcipitation, what more could you ask for? We had lots of great food, friends and fellowship and of course flying! Happy New Year!

We thank the Scouts for inviting us to participate in Scout Day again this year. We had a great time and hopefully got some of the scouts interested in model aviation. The simulator was a big hit as always.

The Piedmont Aeromodelers had a great IMAA event March 27, 2010 despite a cold start Saturday morning. Kent Porter did a great job as cd and keeping all 49 pilots informed of everything going on. There were around 100 models total from WW1 aircraft to modern jets. There were a few noontime demos with 4 jets and nice scale helecopter doing a candy drop for the kids. It was a lot of fun and it did warm up nicely as the day progressed.

I think we set some sort of record this year.... four of us attended the 5th Annual Electric Fly In - hosted by the NC Space Cowboys in Greenville NC - and we had 19 planes! And every single one of them flew!

We had a great time at the Wayne Miniture Aeronautics IMAA event. There were 30 registered pilots! The wind was straight down the runway (what little it was). Everyone had a great time! I hope you enjoy these pics.

RDRC held the 2009 Fly for Tots event and the weather cooperated! There were around 230 pilots registered and over $27,000 was raised for Victory Junction Camp. The event was great and the cause was greater! What a GREAT event!

Jeff Foley and I made the 9 hr trip to the Georgia Jets beautiful facility for the Super Jet South event. The weather was great and we really had a great time! There were around 70 pilots in attendence with lots of super JETS! The hospitality was great and a Super event! Hope you enjoy these pics.

The 95th Squadron held it's annual fly in on October 3rd 2009 in Gaston NC. There were 38 pilots in attendance. The weather was nice and we had a great time! The food and flying was great! Lots of fun for all. Thanks to AB Gentry for these pictures!

Despite a soggy morning the "Warbirds over NC" was a very sucessful event. We had 59 registered pilots and many beautiful military aircraft on the flightline. The rain lingered till noon but the sky cleared to allow some great flying in the afternoon. We had lots of raffle prizes donated by Horizion Hobbies, East RC, Foley Mfg.,The Antique Barn and club members. Thanks for the donations! We enjoyed good food fellowship and of course good flying.

Jimmy, Kenny, Joey, Vic, Dave and Mark took the redeye bus trip to New York on Dec. 12, 2009. We had 10 hours to see as many sites as we could in a cold and crowded city. We had a blast! We took in the Empire State Bld., The Intrepid Museum, Rockafeller Center and Time Square and Macy's. The city was decorated in Christmas colors and it was impressive! Hope you enjoy the pics.
