If you've thought about getting one of these things......DO IT!! If "I" can fly one....anybody can fly one.  Seriously, I'm still quite the greenhorn but I had 2 1/2 great flights on my new Outlaw yesterday with the help and encouragement of several members.

 
The 1/2 flight was the maiden - the darn thing choked off in the first turn after the initial climb out.  Had to set 'er down in the cotton field but no damage at all.  A little tweak to the needle valve and away we went.  The next two flights went great and ended with landings on the runway.

 The Fun-O-Meter is off the scale and the unique features of the craft make it a real experience to fly. As I said, if "I" can fly one...anybody can fly one.  Do it!

You did a nice job flying the OUTLAW.  I saw it at half throttle and it was fast.  I had a great time at the field on Friday and even flew my Extreme Flight Edge 540T electric ARF with the help of several club members.  Thanks Mike for being at the sticks on the maiden flight!

That Edge 540 looked like it flew GREAT.  Makes me want one!

I got the motor mount in today for my Outlaw.  I'm still waiting for the servos and receiver and I'm not quite sure how I'm going to mount the battery yet - that hatch sure is small!

that is nothing that a dremel tool and a 6 pack of beer can't fix!

where have the outlaws been... have not seen them at the field recently!

Mine is still in a state of repair due to rewiring.  Just when I think I have a chance to work on it, something comes up and I don't make it to the workshop.  Maybe this weekend!

Mine got a spankin' a few months ago.  It's repairable, and another club member is interested in acquiring it and making the repairs.  At some point I'll build another.  Got too many other projects to finish first though............

 Welome to our forums.  You are correct, the Outlaw is a small, delta-wing aircraft designed by 9 time NCFFA chamption Jerrly L. Smith.  The Outlaw is a lot of fun to fly, but was very difficult to build due to it's unique airfoil.  Thankfully an ARF was finally developed, and it's distributed by Extreme Flight R/C.  Now that I have my hands on some heat-shrink tubing, maybe I can actually get mine repaired and flying again!

It's NOT for the faint of heart!
